First-choice Lineup

Dean Henderson Had little to do required before the break before called into action by an opponent's curling effort. His sliding challenge against Qazim Laci showed excellent anticipation. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Examined against the opposition's biggest threat through their forward. Operated more centrally initially then shifted to the flank after Saka came on. 7/10

The defender Moved forward with the ball at his feet, a familiar role in the past. On occasion lacked urgency on the ball and the experiment abandoned by the interval. 6

Dan Burn Always dangerous from dead balls, typically, could serve as another option to Stones at the back as opposed to alongside him. A careless ball after the break almost led to a goal from the visitors. 6

Nico O’Reilly A further confident display from the youngster after his first cap against another side. A teammate did not capitalize on full advantage of a clever backheel over the Albania defence. The role is firmly his so soon. 7/10

The newcomer His first start in an England shirt. A bit sloppy when playing out though his whipped corners caused problems. An effective tempo-setter for the manager to utilize versus teams who drop deep. Cautioned for a rash challenge. Six

Declan Rice Deliveries from corners and set-plays caused problems. Had freedom to move down the left flank only to be offside when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Given a merited rest around the 60-minute point. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a high spot on the right and also did plenty of defensive duties. Showed glimpses of brilliance and dragged a shot over. Replaced late on by Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Had England’s best chance in the opening period, his effort excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline varied in quality. Substituted late in the match. Six

The captain The decisive figure scoring two more strikes for his country. His first a trademark poacher’s finish and the second an excellent finish with his head after peeling away off his defender. Aged 32, his form is unwavering with the national team are strong contenders next summer when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Found it tough to make an impact out wide. Was presented with a presentable chance when set up from a teammate but the keeper kept it out. His replacement had a greater influence in his place. 5/10
