Another three points in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, especially after a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second consecutive succession.
The Shelbourne team that had finished their league season proved outmatched even for a mostly rotated Palace lineup. The Londoners were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee problems.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
